To help raise money for The Salvation Army of Central Maryland’s programs, our Women’s Auxiliary hosted this year’s Spring Fling at Carrabba’s Italian Grill on April 18. Doors opened at 11 AM and about 90 people attended the event. Guests received a salad, lunch, and dessert at the venue.
The Salvation Army’s Women’s Auxiliary is a volunteer group that hosts various fundraising events to support aid The Salvation Army’s programs. Within the past year, the Women’s Auxiliary has supported The Salvation Army of Central Maryland’s anti-human trafficking home, Catherine’s Cottage, and continues to provide hundreds of service hours, making them a core part of our organization.
Fundraising opportunities at the Spring Fling included a bake sale, flower sale, live auction, and Sally’s Surprises hand-made gift baskets that featured various spring centerpieces, wreaths, bath sets, and kid games.
Our Women’s Auxiliary raised almost $3,000 at this event, which will help us to send youth to summer and day camps this year.
